Linda: Hi!I'm a multi-disciplinary artist currently living in Johor Bahru.
Describe your style in three words.
L: Free-spirited, Adventurous, Colourful
Tell us more about your label, Yesah
L: Yesah was a fashion label I originally created in 2012. As time passed, the brand has evolved itself more into a lifestyle platform where I share sustainable fashion ideas.
How did Yesah evolved through the years? L: Yesah is no longer in production of garments. Yesah studio was recently opened in 2019 to kickstart a brand new journey of sharing sewing ideas and hands-on workshops to collectively gain more sustainable skills in a creative community.
What is one poor habit you've swapped out from your life for something better?
L: Stop spending time on browsing online catalogs of products I don't need. Now I only do seasonal/occasional shopping.
What are some tips for us to practice mindfulness in our daily lives?
L: Before you make any impulsive decision that could be affected by marketing/commercials, think about whether you NEED that.
Always take a moment to breathe before you make any decisions in everyday life.
A simple action like that is building awareness and raising consciousness =)
What is one advice you will tell your 18 year old self?
L: Be careful what you wish for.
